The Canon 50mm f1.4 SSC FD is a manual focus prime lens manufactured by Canon and made in Japan. This version of Canon's classic 50mm FD mount lens accommodates low light photography without a flash while remaining lightweight, compact, and incredibly sharp. This lens has Canon's SSC multicoatings - Super Spectra Coating. These coatings further reduce flare and ghosting, particularly when photographing directly into light sources.
The Canon FD mount is appropriate for older 35mm Canon SLR cameras such as the Canon AE-1, Canon TX, Canon F-1N, Canon T-90, and Canon FTb. This lens is not compatible with autofocus Canon EF mount cameras.
This lens has a 55mm filter thread.
